I don’t know of any “free” studios here in New York City. I shoot on my roof, and I have a membership at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn. Shooting on the street in New York City is free as well (with some rules).

what kind of camera do you use?

I shoot with a Canon EOS 7D and a Canon EOS 60D. I also own a Canon EOS 550D (Rebel T2i) but I don’t think I’m getting it back from my friend any time soon.
